Boris Redcenkov, Prokop Tomasek and Jaroslav Wertig were all born in the same year (1969) and all three graduated from the architecture faculty of the Czech Technical University in Prague, the city where they live and where since 1994 they have been working under the name of A69 (www.a69.cz). They are also among the most promising names in the Eastern European panorama, thanks mainly to two projects that have brought them international recognition: Villa Lea (where a few simple geometric forms and a wall made entirely from glass play on the notion of inside and outside) and the EggO House (a house designed for a young couple in Prague whose concrete roof is interrupted to create an egg-shaped void that leaves glimpses of the garden). The exhibition “Remixes” (running until June 30) offers a complete look at their work, a CV that spans 14 years and a continual search for innovative technical solutions. Elena Sommariva
