Peter Kulka, Minimalism and Sensuousness

This Frankfurt event is the first large exhibit dedicated to Peter Kulka who was one of the most important exponents of German minimalism. Born in Dresden in 1937, he initially collaborated with Hans Scharoun and later began his own studio in 1979.

His most important works include the Regional Parliament of Saxony in Dresden and the “House of Silence” in Meschede, a refined cement cube which offers shelter from the outside world to the guests of the Benedictine abbey of Königsmünster. The fulcrum of the long exhibit itinerary, which is subdivided according to theme, is the collection of 22 projects designed in a period of 15 years. E.S.
