At the centre of four days of meetings, organised by the Docomomo Iberico and the Catalonian Institute of Architects to look at modernist architecture in Spain, we find this year a homage to Gatpac, a group of Spanish architects and technicians that 75 years ago (in October 1930) came together with the aim of promoting the progress of contemporary architecture.

Under the leadership of J.L. Sert it was the Catalan section that gave the country the most important urban designs, from the Maciá plan, developed in collaboration with Le Corbusier. At the symposium, directed by Antonio Pizza and coordinated by Paolo Sustersic, speakers include Oriol Bohigas, Nuño Portas, Eric Mumford and Maristella Casciato. E.S.
