To present two icons of architecture signed by Frank Lloyd Wright – with an eye to the future – is the attempt being made by Raymund Ryan, curator of architecture at the Carnegie Museum. He has added two new projects to the historical photographs and original drawings of the Martin House in Buffalo, New York and to the Price Tower of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. There is a woman’s hand behind both of these projects: Toshiko Mori for the first one and Zaha Hadid for the second.

Ryan explained: “Both architects have created buildings that are tailored to their site, that are inspired by the original Wright structure”. Mori, who won an international contest, has designed a glass pavilion to welcome visitors in one of Wright’s most successful homes. Hadid, instead, was charged with designing an expo center next to the tower which was one of the American architect’s last creations. E.S.
