The versatility of glass for interior design

Stratobel Colour, Imagin, Lacobel and Matelac are the four glass ranges produced by AGC for the creation of customised and sophisticated interior design projects.

Transparency, resistance, sustainability, safety, lightness and beauty: these are the qualities that have made glass the material of modernity par excellence. Its properties have been explored by the greatest masters of design and architecture, changing – for the better – people's daily lives, enabling new relationships between interior and exterior and between environments, domestic and beyond.

But the possible design explorations are far from exhausted and glass continues to be a material capable of interpreting the rapid transformations of our individual behaviour and of our societies.

For designers facing contemporary challenges, AGC, a company specialising in the production and processing of flat glass for the building industry, is a privileged interlocutor not only for building envelopes, but also for interior design.

Stratobel Colour, Imagin, Lacobel and Matelac are four collections of glass for interiors proposed by AGC: products capable of giving life to customised projects, and thus re-thinking relationships, connections and divisions between spaces in a sophisticated way. Thanks to its versatility, glass adapts to different design requirements and represents a valid alternative to other materials: it can, for example, be evanescent and sober or deeply textured, becoming the protagonist of an environment; it can create intimacy without compromising light and space, or lighten rooms by organising them in a more functional way.

The Stratobel Colour range of laminated safety glass comes in eight colours that allow infinite combinations of nuances inspired by nature. It combines aesthetics and high performance, offering multiple solutions for architectural projects dedicated to interior decoration such as partitions, floors, staircases and roofs as well as exteriors. Multiple films of the same shade can be added to adjust the level of opacity of the surface, while maintaining natural light. ntegrating the solutions of the Company's wide range with coloured films, it is possible to combine aesthetic features, high safety performance and other functions, such as solar control, thermal insulation and acoustic insulation, in the same glass.

Imagin moulded glass always offers the right balance between privacy and brightness, and is the ideal product for meeting rooms, doors, partitions, furniture and showers, as it lets light in without clearly revealing the interior of the space, enhancing the ambience with its patterns. It is available in a variety of formats, sizes and thicknesses and in a range of multiple standard motifs that can be distinguished into linear such as Niagara, Flutes, Wired or decorative such as Bamboo, Eclipse, Diamante.

With its two ranges Lacobel and Matelac, AGC offers an extensive contemporary colour palette that follows the main contemporary trends analysed by the AGC Deco Academy. The company offers 24 shades for the Lacobel range of glossy back-painted glass and 15 shades for the Matelac range, which features matt colours. A palette that broadens creative opportunities, making it possible to combine glossy and matt effects, either with tone-on-tone combinations or effective colour contrasts. To make a project even more unique, AGC offers the exclusive MyColour by Lacobel/Matelac service for architects and decoration professionals to create a bespoke colour that perfectly matches their creation.
