H 382 is the "code name" of the handle that internationally renowned designer Joe Cheng designed for Fusital.
According to Alessandro Mendini, "in architecture, the handle is a kind of miniature. It belongs to the history of costume, and it has the same aesthetic task with respect to a house as a piece of jewellery has with respect to the human body". The handle is not a "simple" functional accessory for opening a door, but a detail with a high design content, an element capable of characterising an entire room.
If these statements seem almost banal today, the merit is also due to figures like Carlo Edoardo Valli, an entrepreneur who, in the 1970s, was able to revolutionise the concept of the handle with Valli&Valli, commissioning the most famous architects and designers worldwide to create handles capable of combining functionality and aesthetics.
The Fusital brand by Valli&Valli best represents the concept of "designer handle". In 45 years of activity, this firm has collaborated with the great masters of design to create truly unique pieces: Gae Aulenti, Achille Castiglioni, Antonio Citterio, Gregotti Associati, Massimiliano Fuksas, Renzo Piano, Norman Foster, Frank O. Ghery, Zaha Hadid...

Fusital continues its tradition of unique handles with one of the protagonists of the contemporary scene: Hong Kong designer Joe Cheng. Clean, essential lines, a rounded profile with no edges, a slim volume and elegant symmetry are the distinctive features of the H 382 CCD Duemilaventi Collection designed by Cheng. A characteristic element of the handle is a circle on the front which can be customised and made in a different finish to the main body. Produced in brass, the H 382 handle is available in three different finishes, Orantop, Bronzop and Tortora, reminiscent of the colours of nature and the earth; on request it is also possible to opt for one of the special Fusital finishes in the catalogue. The collection includes: door handles, window handles, knobs, pull handles and privacy locks.
Craftsmanship and avant-garde, minimalism and functionality: the H 382 handle is the essence of Fusital's contemporary style. It is no coincidence that it won the Archiproducts Design Awards 2021 in the "Systems, Components and Materials" category, the international design competition organised by Archiproducts with the aim of recognising, rewarding and celebrating design excellence in various categories.
