Pedrali’s collections help make the Khufu’s restaurant a place in perfect harmony with the essence of Giza. Contemporary Italian design interacts with the tactile comfort of Pedrali furnishings, enhancing every sensory experience.
The distinctive element of Khufu’s, the restaurant designed by the architect Hisham Ghorab at the Style Design firm in Giza, Egypt, is its choice to not stand out. It has, in other words, embraced a clean aesthetic that blends with the elegance of the desert landscape of sand and sandstone, allowing the view of the thousand-year-old pyramids to take centre stage. The restaurant has received, for the third consecutive year, the recognition of Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants as “Best Restaurant in Egypt” and has been recognized for the first time as “Best Restaurant in the MENA region.”

This setting of architectural and natural harmony is home to the collections by Pedrali, which furnish the external and internal areas of the restaurant in a fascinating blend of history and contemporaneity with characteristic Italian style. The Panarea collection, designed by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo, brings colour to the patio. Light, cheerful and elegant, the armchairs and loungers are characterised by an artisan weave that lends an elegant touch to the overall visual rigour. Comfort is taken to another level with cosy cushions stuffed with draining expanded polyurethane, which guarantees rapid drying, upholstered with fabric made with the same yarn as the weave. This unique setting is also home to the Ypsilon tables designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio and made in die-cast aluminium.
Arki-Table, a linear table with a stark yet versatile structure, conceived for a range of uses, completes the range of furniture for the terrace, which offers a breathtaking view. The proportions of this table, which features a large ultra-slender top on a hidden extruded aluminium frame, embrace the visual harmony.
Nemea chairs have been chosen for the interior of the restaurant, offering a seat in ash plywood set on a die-cast aluminium structure, together with Malmö armchairs in ash, both by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo. Designed to be used in social settings, the collection is an expression of domestic cosiness, with the pleasant feel of ash, the expressive nature of the slender forms and the affinity with the traditional setting.
