Lualdi's new door systems focus on researching and experimenting with new finishes and material matches, which enrich the identity of spaces and open up new customisation scenarios.
A transitive object par excellence, the door is a symbolic component of every building and a fundamental tool in regulating the connections between the various domestic environments and the passage between inside and outside, public and private. On the one hand, changing social behaviour and housing models, and on the other, technological development are re-proposing a new physiognomy of the door object.
One of the companies that best reinterprets this contemporary trend is Lualdi, whose doors and partition systems reinvent spaces by creating new possible interior scenarios. Lualdi develops solutions integrated in architectures and constantly studies new applications of materials and technologies, thus going beyond the traditional and codified production of doors.
At the Salone del Mobile 2023.Milano, held at Rho Fiera from 18 to 23 April 2023, the Italian company presented the developments of its most recent research, which focuses on the experimentation of new material combinations and textures to define new aesthetic and functional balances of spaces. The stand, designed as usual by Piero Lissoni, showcases the expressive potential of Lualdi systems, whose novelties investigate new interpretations of materials such as glass, aluminium, wood and fabric.

The company experiments with aluminium and glass, not only through the study of patterns and decorations that embellish and give a new identity to the product, but also by concentrating industrial investments in a new production pole dedicated to glass processing that, in Marcallo con Casone, will flank the historical plant. The search for new potential offered by wood continues constantly, with solutions that give dynamism to furnishing systems, making them flexible, innovative architectural elements of great decorative impact. Carvings and graphic plays of lines and shadows give new life to the natural solidity of wood.
All the new finishes play with light from technically different perspectives, offering a broad spectrum of creative possibilities, from surface processing to overlapping patterns and the combination of different materials.
