Designed by Davide Vercelli, the new SLIDE series of taps combines innovative design and intuitive gestures.
How many of us have stood in front of an elegant and modern tap in a public bathroom and spent more time than expected trying to figure out how to turn it on? With their hidden levers and invisible sensors, the user experience can easily turn into a minor puzzle. Fortunately, however, there are designs that buck the trend. SLIDE is one such design. The latest creation by Fima Carlo Frattini and designed by Davide Vercelli, it focuses on simplicity, naturalness and functional innovation.
SLIDE is not just a mixer; it's a whole new way of interacting with water. The activation gesture is instinctive and immediate: a simple downward pressure — or towards the wall in the built-in version — causes two cylindrical portions to slide along an inclined plane, regulating the flow.

"The first contact with an object is pressure, made with the fingers. When we don't know something, we touch it; we press the surface. It's an elementary and natural movement," explains Vercelli, who starts with the gesture when designing.
The mixer is made of 316 stainless steel, a material that combines aesthetics and durability thanks to its resistance to corrosion. The clean, essential design enhances the simplest possible form, allowing the sloping surface to become the visual protagonist of the series.
Available in Black Chrome, Nickel, Amber Bronze, Champagne and Gold finishes, as well as material variants such as marble, glass, wood or resin with a tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl or ivory effect, SLIDE elegantly meets a practical need.
