The mastery of Refin's tile designers finds its highest expression in a new collection inspired by the working of wax. The Italian company has developed a research path based on observation of wax and its transformations and on material experiments conducted to translate the same visual and tactile sensations onto ceramic. Refin has thus been able to recreate the plasticity of wax, elaborating a graphic design with great depth where small cracks, cavities and traces that reproduce the effect resulting from the casting and subsequent solidification of wax, seem to dance lightly on a background that alternates light and dark areas. The special Cerasilk finish, which characterises the collection, is particularly soft and silky and also recalls the fluidity of wax on a tactile level.

Thanks to the interesting research stimuli that this collection has brought out, the company's experimentation path has continued after the launch of the collection at the last Cersaie, leading to a new evolution of the range: Cera. The Scaglie variant is the result of a totally manual approach: coloured fragments of solid wax have been added to the freshly poured wax, which sink into the liquid material, stopping at different levels and thus becoming sharper or blurrier. The result is a fascinating interweaving of perceptions, in which the dialogue of colours with the background generates an unusual and singular graphic work.

Refin has thus succeeded in sublimating the wax transformation process into an absolutely innovative proposal for the world of ceramic surfaces, which generates new emotions and traces a timeless dimension.
