Range Rover offers a first glimpse of the highly anticipated New Range Rover Electric, with a teaser revealing some details of the unreleased 100% electric SUV: the car's charging socket, alloy wheels with EV initials, front grille, tailgate... The brand opens the waiting list for the new car, ahead of the opening of formal customer orders. The debut is set during 2024, and the model will open the brand's electrification following the strategy decided in April 2023.

"The luxury SUV marks a new era for the Range Rover brand: it is now available as an all-electric model," says Geraldine Ingham, Range Rover Managing Director. "Since its release in 2021, the latest generation Range Rover has become the new benchmark for desirability. Globally, we are experiencing the highest levels of customer demand of our entire 53-year history."

Range Rover Electric will offer performance comparable to the flagship Range Rover V8 and with the off-road capabilities that have been Range Rover's hallmark since its inception in 1970. Physical prototype testing is underway as engineers aim for the quietest and most refined Range Rover ever created, thanks to its active road noise cancellation configuration, sound design and cabin comfort level. 

Global road tests have also begun, from Sweden to Dubai, in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C. The global physical testing program has been adapted for Range Rover's first all-electric vehicle to ensure the robustness of the electric drive system, including the underfloor, battery life, chassis integrity, and vehicle dynamics testing for thermal derating.
