Thanks to the dialogue and exchange of knowledge with some of the great masters of architecture and design - among them we find Renzo Piano, Gae Aulenti, Michele De Lucchi and Ron Arad - in thirty years of experience iGuzzini has developed a design background of absolute importance in the field of light for architecture. It is a long process of research and experimentation that has led to the development of innovative technologies, the constant improvement of lighting performance and the miniaturisation of luminaires and optics.

Living Vibes is a collection that draws on this heritage of culture, research and engineering experimentation to bring it into contemporary residential and dedicated community living spaces as a value-added quality. Four products are presented this year by the company with the aim of bringing professional lighting design into living, hospitality and urban spaces: Libera, Allure, BeTwo and Whisper.

The design of Allure translates the company's heritage and approach well. It is an outdoor wall light with a deliberately and markedly neutral language, inspired by the elementary architectural module. Starting with a minimal volume, every technical detail of the light becomes a decorative element. The design starts with a basic, monochrome parallelepiped, flush with the optical housing. A more drawn raster can be added to this element, producing a soft curve on the linear perimeter, a minimal decorative gesture that gives Allure a different degree of ornamental content. The third formal step is of a chromatic and compositional nature. Five mix&match colours are available for the outer body (white, black, green, grey, rust) to match the lead, urban bronze, copper and sand profile of the raster in glossy finish. A PMMA accessory adds a further decorative layer, restoring the richness, transparency and preciousness of glass.

For Allure, the iGuzzini team chose a recessed optic that offers a soft, glare-free light, with up/down emission also available. Depending on the colour and composition combination, Allure is an object that discreetly disappears into space or stands out as a coloured decorative sign.

Simple, intelligent and automatic lighting management promotes responsible energy use, thus improving the effectiveness of the overall installation, achieving up to 65% total energy savings. In keeping with Ecodesign, Allure is produced with 100 per cent renewable energy, made from circular materials and processes. The short list of materials includes an aluminium body (94% recycled and recyclable) and an innovative mass-balanced polycarbonate, i.e. made from recovered materials.
