Today, the kitchen is no longer a utility room but a place to be exhibited and lived in at the same time, capable of becoming a status symbol. It is no longer just the convivial environment par excellence, but a space in which to express our ars culinaria: the cupboard is the new library, the worktops are displays, the diners are the judges of a cooking show.

Elica's NikolaTesla collection is the result of a design interpretation of this trend: the suction hobs allow us to rethink the experience of preparing and sharing food, responding with a single product to multiple requirements of aesthetics, multifunctionality and integration. It is precisely this synthesis of design, practicality and innovation that has earned it numerous design awards, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro ADI.

Since the launch of the NikolaTesla One in 2016, the evolution of the range has never stopped. The suction hobs adapt to every type of kitchen, responding to the most varied needs of those who live there.

The NikolaTesla One suction hob, the first product in the range, is characterised by a strong design and marked lines, as well as high suction performance. NikolaTesla Switch conceals the aspirating core inside the hob, guaranteeing a completely linear surface. NikolaTesla Flame is a synthesis of technology and design, combining the tradition of the flame with the innovation of an integrated suction system. NikolaTesla Libra fuses three appliances in one: induction hob, suction system and scale that weighs even when the product is switched off. NikolaTesla Fit is designed for those who, even in compact rooms, do not want to give up all the advantages of a suction hob equipped with the best technology.

The evolution of the Elica product family continues into 2022 with NikolaTesla Unplugged (presented at the Salone del Mobile.Milano in June), NikolaTeslaOne HP and NikolaTesla Switch Glow.

Born out of the desire to create a natural and immediate relationship with the product, Unplugged is controlled via analogue touch&feel knobs to access functions quickly and intuitively. NikolaTesla One HP is an induction hob with integrated aspiration characterised by a contemporary design and quality materials, so as to become a distinctive element capable of enhancing any environment. In the new version, the control interface is completely invisible when the product is switched off, giving the hob an even more elegant appearance. 
Unplugged and One HP are equipped with three preset cooking modes that can guarantee amazing and effortless results in both everyday meal preparation and more special recipes.

A suction heart completely hidden in the induction hob is the main feature of NikolaTesla Switch Glow, which in its new look enhances minimal aesthetics with a total black surface that blends with the white illumination of the controls, evoking a pure and sophisticated style, ideal for modern kitchens.
