Colour trends are becoming ubiquitous in our homes and increasingly relevant in the world of design. Colour is a universal visual language: it is able to convey the most intimate and hidden aspects of our personality, it influences our perception of spaces and the way we live them. Boero, a reference point in the world of architecture on the subject of colour, proposes a new tool to support professionals, architects and interior designers: "1831 – Il colore italiano" (1831 – The Italian colour), a complete system that allows people to express their personality through the most diverse colour combinations.

The new 1831 colour system is the result of in-depth research into the needs and trends of the contemporary market. The number refers to Boero's founding date and expresses a tradition with almost two centuries of history, synonymous with perfection, evolution, dedication and expertise. The Italian Cclour, payoff of 1831, on the other hand, indicates how the new collection was realised not only thanks to Boero's in-depth knowledge of the colour element, but also thanks to the all-Italian taste that is the founding element of the brand, recognised as excellence at an international level.

The 1391 colours in the palette are selected on a perceptual basis and catalogued through a clear and intuitive structure. The colours are positioned on the strips in a scale of clarity and subdivided into 4 main sections, grouped by homogeneous degrees of saturation, the greys, neutrals, mediums and brights, and 2 appendix sections, the chromatic brights and whites, for a total of 6 colour sections.

To enable designers to quickly and clearly identify the various colours within the palette, each shade is marked with a functional code. Boero has also developed various practical tools to discover and make the most of all the potential of the new "1831 – Il Colore Italiano" colour palette.

Among these we find 24 Hours with Boero: an art book, realised by IED in collaboration with Boero, which is divided into 6 moments of a special day lived through Italy and the Italian spirit, from which 6 trendy palettes, The Colours of 24 Hours with Boero, for a total of 48 chromatic proposals, taken from the new 1831 – Il colore italiano swatch. This is an exploration that allows the brand to illustrate variety, modernity, commitment and beauty in a proposal that lands in those places of intelligence that have made Italy an icon of the art of togetherness, conviviality, skilful craftsmanship and enchantment.
