Well-being, self-care, intimacy, comfort, customisation and craftsmanship: these are the expressions of the new Heritage collections by Artesi, the Selfie shower by Agha and the Yoko line by Ardeco.
"The bathroom should be a special room, a kind of combination between a study and a greenhouse. And do not think that these thoughts of mine are utopian or decadent ramblings. I have an idea of their application, and of possible practical ways," wrote the architect Bernard Rudofsky.
It was 1953, and in Domus issue 288, editor Gio Ponti hosted the architect to present his book The Inmate, which dealt with the "lost human pleasure of living and dwelling", and in particular the decadence of the bathroom in the modern home. "Despite current ideas about cleanliness, the beneficial effect of the bath as a nerve tonic is reduced to the rare occasions of medical therapy and bathing in the sea. And the main effect of the bath, which is to harden us to contemplation through the relaxation of the nerves, we prefer to achieve by the stimulus of alcohol, perhaps because it does not require us to take off our clothes."
Fortunately, in contemporary times the way we look at the bathroom has changed, and is back in line with Rudofsky's vision: a place for personal care, personal regeneration, intimacy and privacy. This is the approach taken by Artesi, Agha and Ardeco, the Artesi Group brands specialising in bathroom furniture and shower environments for the residential and contract sectors.
The new Heritage collections by Artesi, the Selfie shower by Agha and the Yoko line by Ardeco express the group's attitude: complete and customisable bathroom furniture, made of comfort and craftsmanship, created with the aim of creating environments in which people lack nothing for their personal well-being.
Tradition and innovation, refined details and new materials, plays of joints and cabinet work, classical inspiration and contemporary style: all this and much more is the Heritage collection, which perfectly expresses the company's know-how. The collection is enriched by cupboards and sideboards that can be used in other rooms of the home, towards a newly conceived versatility of bathroom furniture that fits into other living spaces.
A clear sign of how the balance is changing and is increasingly shifting towards a bathroom that can be adapted and customised to suit individual aesthetic and comfort needs. An example of this is the Yoko collection, which, in an alternation of solids and voids, offers all the company's finishes and a freely configurable handle, resulting in furnishings with innovative colours and aesthetics.
Finally, Agha completes the environment with the Selfie shower, which renders functional a clean and essential design in an infinite selection of finishes for profiles, glass and screen printing, suitable for every Artesi and Ardeco collection. For new horizons in bathroom design.
