The archaic future by Florim: the Earthtech/ collection.

The new porcelain stoneware slabs produced by Florim combine earth and technology to build the cities of the future in a sustainable way.

Born from the union of the earth – the primordial material par excellence – with technology, therefore between past and future, is the new Earthtech/ collection by Florim.

While the second part of the name, Tech, explicitly recalls the company's production technologies, Earth not only refers to the earth as an ancient material, but also speaks of respect for the planet, and therefore of sustainability. This is an increasingly central topic for the company led by Claudio Lucchese, which has been producing ceramic surfaces for all building, architecture and interior design requirements for almost 60 years.

Thanks to the know-how developed by Florim, the materiality of the earth is reinterpreted in a full-body ceramic product, i.e. one that has the same graphic and aesthetic characteristics throughout its entire thickness.

Earthtech/ slabs are produced by mixing small fragments and carefully selected pigments of different shades. The aggregation of flakes and grains creates a composite material that naturally has an original mélange effect. During firing, the mixture coagulates, giving the slab great solidity and a unique aesthetic, just like natural materials.

The neutral-coloured surfaces create a unique connection between architecture and landscape, between a modern, minimalist style and the raw character of uncontaminated nature. Divided into two aesthetic families, the colours range from the classic grey scale to bright yellow and orange-red.

Aesthetics and performance, safety and hygiene, quality and practicality: Earthtech/ ceramic surfaces are made using innovative techniques and following the highest standards of sustainability to meet the contemporary needs of the design world.

The collection features different finishes to suit various types of projects: public and commercial spaces, residences, all kinds of interiors and outdoor spaces. The surfaces are available both in the large Florim Magnum Oversize format with reduced thickness 6mm (in four modular formats up to 120*280 cm), and in the traditional formats in 10 and 20mm.
