Is the bathroom a utility space? Absolutely not. It is becoming an increasingly central room in our homes: a place for self-care, where you can listen to your body and cultivate well-being, while enjoying maximum privacy. The bathroom is a place to live in and in which to find oneself. It is therefore interesting to see how bathroom furniture is evolving to innovate experiences, situations and atmospheres. Designers are working with a holistic approach to satisfy all the senses and generate new moments of comfort and relaxation.

This is the direction in which antoniolupi is moving with its Apollo shower head collection, which brings together two primary elements: light and water.

The reference to classical mythology is appropriate: Apollo is the god of the sun and therefore of light and heat, but his birth took place in water. The Apollo collection combines the shower head with a lamp, generating a hybrid in which the two functions are perceptually equivalent. This innovative typological ambiguity is made possible by an elegant combination of tubular lines that is unprecedented among products on the market.

The unique combination of light and water makes the showering experience particularly pleasant. The IP67 LED lighting is switched on at the same time as the water is dispensed, generating a light shower. This enhances the moment of relaxation to the utmost, making it also visual.

The collection designed by Brian Sironi consists of a wall-mounted and two ceiling-mounted elements, all made of cast brass. The first is the piece that is most distinctive, thanks to its Y shape that resolves the various aspects of the product (water, light and fixing) equally.

The technology does not stand out, but plays an essential role in the design. In fact, the miniaturisation of the various components allowed the idea to be implemented without compromise.
