The building designed by CL&AA - Claudio Lucchin & Architetti Associati fits into the local landscape, thanks also to the integrated blinds produced by Pellini.
The school completed by Claudio Lucchin & Architetti Associati in Colognola ai Colli, Verona, is an excellent example of public architecture in Italy. The Bolzano-based studio has designed a dynamic structure with a contemporary theme, able to connect with the territory thanks to its forms. The building ties into the ground on one side and rises to the sky on the other, creating a continuous green promenade on its roof. This formal gesture not only has architectural intentions but also influences the complex's environmental performance, providing insulation and promoting the high energy rating of the school. The innovation of the Dante Broglio Primary School lies not only in its varied and surprising spaces, but also in its respect for the environment and the lanscape.

The same type of design sensitivity can also be found in the solutions for the south facade of the building, characterised by an irregular shape and large full-height glazed openings that visually connect the classrooms and other interiors with the courtyard. The aluminium windows and doors are equipped with triple glazing, housing about 700 ScreenLine® shading systems: these blinds integrated witin the glass units guarantee excellent energy performance and do not obstruct visual contact with the outside, as is usually the case with some screens outside the facades. The integral blinds guarantee absolute protection from dirt, dust and atmospheric agents, without the need for maintenance.

Depending on the frequency and mode of use, ScreenLine® systems can be manual or motorised: the SL27C Venetian blind can be raised by means of a patented magnetic field opening and closing system; the SL27MB Venetian blind is equipped with an internal brushless motor, characterised by extremely low noise level and high reliability, and is able to accurately control the movement of the slats. Synchronous movement of the blinds is possible to guarantee the aesthetic uniformity of the facade.

In order to allow a strong reduction of unnecessary heat gain in a heavily irradiated facade, the high-performance V95 slat was used, which, thanks to an interference filter applied by means of a PVD process, made it possible to achieve a gtot value lower than 10%.
