Lily Nails Salon

Located within a shopping mall in Beijing, the 100 sqm nails salon designed by Archstudio gives the clients a warm and relaxed feeling thanks to its laser cut, fluid walls.

Archstudio, Lily Nails Salon, Beijing, 2017
Designed by Archstudio, Lily Nails Salon extends two dimensional floral patterns into three dimensional spaces, creating a flexible environment with feminine temperament thus improving the identity and comfort of a traditional nails salon. Located on the edge of Blue Harbor’s underground square, in Beijing, the salon features an irregular and elongated shape.

The design employs straight and curved walls that divide various functional areas such as manicure, beauty, reception, storage, etc., meeting different spatial needs, from open to private. The pattern on the walls resembles lace and it was created through laser cutting a 6 mm steel plate. The pattern turns all the walls translucent giving the clients a welcoming and relaxed feel in contrast with the busy mall it is set in.
