Mocho stool

Mocho, designed by João Timóteo and Helena Fernandes, is a reinterpretation of Portuguese stool that questions the material and the relationship with user.

Mocho stool
Coming from an approach to “mocho” (a traditional Portuguese stool) this project has come to live, where the material that defines the stool is questioned.
Two independent supports and a saw that sustain the trunk; this one, defined by the user, in which the height of the bench and the quantity of people that sit in it are muttable according to the quantity of wood that is necessary in a fireplace.
