Domus China 075, design
In 2013, Domus China is reviewing eleven important cases in China’s industrial design history of the recent a hundred years. In the column “A Century of China’s Industrial Design”, Domus China 075 introduces the history and the iconography of Kangyuan, the most famous tin toys which has accompanied the Chinese children since 1930s.
Besides, this issue also presents an unconventional warehouse renovation project of KUU, an architect office based in Shanghai. We invited Liu Yuyang, founder of Atelier Liu Yuyang Architects to have a dialogue with Kok-Meng Tan and Satoko Saeki, chief architets of KUU to talk about this project.
