For the third stop in the project exploring traditional crafts techniques, Origin, the Dutch duo worked with the Irish community Meitheal Mara.
Contrast is the name of the third journey by Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto through the discovery and use — in a modern key — of traditional techniques at risk of extinction that took form in a system of containers, tables, chairs and trays. The shipbuilding techniques that the two designers learned from members of the marine education center in Meitheal Mara were used to construct new objects that are formally simple but full of iconographic references.
