LEGO is making fun of the hype surrounding the new foldable smartphones unveiled in the last couple of weeks by Huawei and Samsung, respectively called Mate X and Galaxy Fold. The Danish company tweeted an image depicting the “LEGO Fold”, a foldable construction set that was styled to look like the key visual of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. It was just for fun, of course, but the product actually exists: it’s called “Pop-up book”. Unlike the Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X it’s on already on sale for 70$. A fraction of what the actual smartfolds will cost when they’ll finally hit the shelves later this year.
LEGO made a foldable device that you can already buy
The company leveraged the hype for Huawei's and Samsung's new bendable smartphones with some clever viral marketing.
