Aeon is a pencil that can write forever

Developed by Stilform, the pencil employs a tip made of a special alloy, capable of writing on paper (almost) without wearing itself over time.

Stilform Aeon, as the name suggests, is a peculiar pencil that can potentially last forever, or at least for a very, very long time.
Instead of employing graphite, like any regular pencil, the Aeon sports a tip made out of an alloy of Bismuth and Tin that “hardly wears itself” over time. The tip leaves a mark by oxidizes paper. The result is a mark Stilform defines as “pencil-like” and is just a bit fainter than the one of a standard pencil.

For the pencil lovers who like the metal and wood design of the Aeon but would rather have a more substantial mark, the startup has come up with an alternative graphite tip. Thanks to a clever magnetic mechanism, tips are easy to install and remove in a snap.

The Stilform Aeon is currently being funded on Kickstarter. According to Stilform’s plans, the pencil will be ready for mass production later this year, with products already getting into customers’ hands by early 2023.
Despite being still in a phase of commercial development, the Stilform Aeon has already won accolades in the design world by snatching a coveted 2022 Red Dot Design Award.
