The ninth edition of DesignMarch showcased the best of the Icelandic design scene, organized by the Iceland Design Centre in Reykjavik, which promotes local design and architecture.

Along with local design, the festival showcased an increasing number of international collaborations in all fields of design, be it graphics or fashion, furniture, architecture or products. All in all, there were over 100 events – exhibitions, workshops, seminars and parties – spread across Reykjavik. DesignMarch opened with the DesignTalks at Harpa Concert Hall, the city’s architectural landmark by Henning Larsen Architects and Olafur Eliasson. Among this year’s international hosts we found Jessica Walsh, Studio Swine, Ilkka Suppanen, Bjarke Ingels, Muuto, Artek, Vitra, Iittala and Normann Copenhagen, among others.
