The textiles used for the collection were inspired by the work and creativity of Finnish female artists and their storytelling from figurative to abstract art. “I find Finnish art very inspiring and versatile”, explains Anna Teurnell, creative director at Marimekko, “I see the influence that this interesting country has had on them, and us: its national epic, mysticism and craftsmanship”.
