Giotto

Conceived by the Carrara-based designer Moreno Ratti for Lo Studio della Pietra, Giotto is a rounded table, made by cutting a slab of Taiwanese marble with waterjet.

Conceived by the Carrara-based designer Moreno Ratti, the idea behind Giotto was born watching the marble slabs in stock.
Why not to use this material in a different way?

So was born Giotto. It is a rounded marble table, made by cutting a slab of Taiwanese marble with waterjet. To make the lightweight material, a marble and aluminum sandwich of 1cm thickness has been created. The result has no waste; it is simple and easy to assemble and to ship.
