Vase Lamp

Basque designer Martin Azúa presented a series of porcelain vases and lamps that play with their own definition by changing function.

"I want to be a Chinese Vase" is the exhibition designed by Martin Azúa at Casa Camper, in Barcelona, where the basque designer presented new products from his “Numbered” collection that have been produced in collaboration with artisans and workshops from Barcelona.

The exhibition hosted different pieces that can be classified as vases without strictly complying with their definition. Imperfect vases that need other objects to fulfill their role. The exhibition was a claim of the vase as an essential object, a piece that represents like no other the usefulness of the simply beauty. Azúa also introduced his Vase Lamp collection, where he switches the traditional position of vases by transforming them into lamps.
