Design Parade Toulon

Following the tenth anniversary of the Design Parade festival in Hyères, Villa Noailles has committed itself to a new proposition in Toulon devoted to interior design and decoration.

Design Parade Toulon
Within the scope of the Hyères festival, Design Parade Toulon unites several exhibitions around a competition designed to reveal and support young interior designers, an unprecedented project of its kind in France. Through this innovative platform, the villa Noailles aims to further its support for young design, whilst at the same time gathering together designers, members of the industry, journalists, and the general public.

Within the framework of the festival Design Parade Toulon, the villa Noailles is now launching an annual contest aimed at young interior designers. The competition winner will be awarded the Grand Prix Design Parade Toulon.
The festival (June 30, July 1 and 2, 2016) will exhibit 10 young international interior designers chosen by a prestigious jury, headed, for this first edition, by India Mahdavi. The festival is launched on the patronage of the designers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec. Several exhibitions are organised in Toulon, in addition to the candidates’ ten projects. These exhibitions will create a path throughout the town: India Mahdavi at the Musée d’art de Toulon, liturgical furnishings in the crypt of Eglise Saint-Louis, a photographic commission on Toulon by Olivier Amsellem, an exhibition in the shop windows of Galeries Lafayette, an exhibition by the design students at the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design – Toulon Provence Méditerranée.
At the heart of the festival will be the competitors’ projects, exhibited together within the walls of a XVIth century former private mansion under restoration, close to the military arsenal, the port and the former Corderie Royale.
