Matali Crasset launches a special project on design platform Crowdy House: a collection of small wooden object solely crafted from the trees that grow near Vent des Forêts, a contemporary art space in the forests in the north-east of France.
The starting point for We Trust in Wood came from Matali Crasset’s connection to the art space and region, for which she designed a series of houses in the past. We Trust in Wood celebrates this rural area, while helping the local community financially. The contemporary objects for this collection are crafted by local wood specialists. The profit of the sales will be fully dedicated to support and develop Vent des Forêts.

“We are currently facing a mutation of our economic systems inside which digital technology is taking place. The We Trust In Wood collection is a small project with a strong and powerful meaning. It allows us to improve and support the activity of Vent des Forêts in its area. This is a simple yet affordable way by which people can support the art center.” Says Crasset.
