With focus on human society and environmental waste, the project is aimed to find the unique beauty of wastes, make wastes into commodities and further into articles of use.
Construction waste is the beginning of recycling. With the development of construction industry, the amount of construction waste accounts for 30–40% of the amount of total municipal waste. It takes up a lot of land and reduces soil quality.
Construction waste contains plenty of sulfate ions, which can convert into hydrogen sulfide with rotten egg smells under anaerobic condition and affect air quality. During the piling up and landfill of construction waste, with the effect of fermentation, rainfall pouring as well as soaking by surface water and underground water, waster water may come into being and seriously pollute surrounding surface water and underground water. Recycle Series applies contemporary forms and industrial production processes to these materials, rediscovering their aesthetic qualities.
