Since March 2019, the activities of the Kenta Foundation are housed at the Fabbrica Sassetti, a former factory built in the 1930s in the Isola district, which is now the main centre of contemporary architecture in Milan. On the occasion of the Milan Design Week, the foundation inaugurates its cultural programme by hosting Alcova, one of the most appreciated initiatives of the Fuorisalone, which since last year has also animated the former Giovanni Cova & Co. Until April 14, 2019, the 1,000 square meters of Alcova Sassetti – which include 19 rooms, a garden and a courtyard – host the projects of 18 international designers and institutions, including Cookies, Nero Design Gallery, Philippe, Weber, Studio Joris de Groot, Selvaggia Alazraki... After the design week, Fondazione Kenta will continue to offer free cultural events, under the creative direction of Roberto Gerosa: exhibitions, conferences, debates, educational activities and wellness sessions will be organised to make the former industrial spaces in a new centre open to the local community and the whole city.
