Design Week 2021: a guide to Fuorisalone
Nanda Vigo at Fondazione Sozzani
The exhibition "Nanda Vigo, incontri ravvicinati. Art, Architecture, Design" shows the different personalities of the Milanese artist, "master of light", effervescent and curious designer. The exhibition project is curated by Marco Meneguzzo and Allegra Ravizza, Archivio Nanda Vigo, and in collaboration with Luca Preti.
The Sozzani Foundation is located in Corso Como 10. Open from 5 September to 1 November 2021, 10.30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Raquel Quevedo @ Marsèll Paradise
"Fluid Crust Surgery" is a multimedia installation by Spanish artist Raquel Quevedo consisting of sculptures, two-dimensional works and projections. The exhibition in Marsèll is curated by Quei Studio and produced by the Danish gallery Etage Projects

Hysteria @ Alpha District
One of the most interesting exhibitions proposed by Alpha District is "Hysteria", a project linked to the figure of women but not an all-female initiative. FORO Studio, which is in charge of the entire district, invited a group of creative people to think about the theme of the feminine, creating a project starting each one from a specific sex toy

Parasite 2.0 @ BASE Milano
Among the proposals of BASE Milano we find the exhibition "Baratto", curated by Parasite 2.0. This group show is the materialisation of the Antropofago Productions project: a curated collection of objects, fanzines, sounds and an online shop on the famous independent music platform Bandcamp.

Cross Cultural Chairs @ BASE Milano
The Cross Cultural Chairs project is the result of designer Matteo Guarnaccia's journey around the world. Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Indonesia, China, India, Russia and Nigeria: in each of these countries Guarnaccia has produced a chair in collaboration with local designers and craftsmen. His research into socio-cultural differences is analysed through chairs. At BASE Milano the furnishings will be exhibited together for the first time.

Fake/Authentic at Galleria Antonia Jannone
Stefania Agostini and Luca Mostarda, founders of the AMArchitectrue office, invite young architects, designers and creatives from 13 different nationalities to exhibit their works in Milan's most famous gallery of architectural drawings. The collective project Fake/Authentic, now in its fourth edition, this time explores the topic Iconic Ironic.
Galleria Antonia Jannone is located in Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi 125, Milan. The exhibition is open until 28 September from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Super Superfici @ ADI Design Museum
Abet Laminati and curators Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni invited eight designers – Federico Angi, Zanellato Bortotto, Agustina Bottoni, Antonio de Marco, Chiara Moreschi, Martinelli Venezia, Panter & Tourron, Mario Scairato – to reinterpret Memphis' radical approach with a contemporary perspective.

With more than 90 events spread throughout the district, 130 exhibitors and 140 showrooms (with 15 new openings in 2021), the Brera Design District proves itself to be one of the most content-rich and attractive areas for the general public. Among the proposals we select the work of our favourite "young veteran": Elena Salmistraro. The designer presents at Spazio CEDIT a new capsule collection that interprets the Hotel Chimera installation, designed by Salmistraro herself for the company's showroom.

In September, Cambi presents CTMP Design Auction, a collectible contemporary design auction dedicated exclusively to the 21st century, with 160 objects and furniture signed by the best designers of the moment, selected by Mr.Lawrence studio. In conjunction with the Milan Design Week, some of the objects and furniture will be presented in an exhibition at Cambi's headquarters.

Audrey Large @ Nilufar
“Some Vibrant Things” is Audrey Large’s solo exhibition at Nilufar Gallery. Straddling between art and object design, Large practice explores the potential of digital image manipulation processes applied to the design of our material surroundings. In a context of exponential digitization, she positions her practice in an interdisciplinary form of design that uses digital cinema as a field of research to rethink object design methodologies. By bridging film making techniques with digital-to-material manufacturing processes her work seeks to define the keys to a new materiality.

Guiltless Plastic at Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia
Already a Fuorisalone classic. Gallerist Rossana Orlandi presents the third edition of the RO Plastic Prize, a competition that challenges designers to find solutions to the pollution caused by plastic. The exhibition of the finalist projects of the RO Plastic Prize will be held at the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci.
The Museum is in Via San Vittore 21, Milan. The exhibition can be visited until 12th September, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
