Marina Abramovic, pioneer in body art, comes to Rome where she will be the leading protagonist in two events.
At the Galleria Volume (5 May) she will be presenting for the first time in Europe, the new book “Student Body” published by Charta, that describes her experience as a teacher and which gives over a great deal of space to her students. During the course of the evening’s events not only Abramovic but also seven students will be taking part in a performance session.
The following day, at Macro, the Serbian born artist will take part in a conference entitled “Cleaning the House” which deals with her experience and research concerning the body as a place and material with which to create art.E.S.
