This year's top prize at the World Architecture Festival went to a plant-covered complex designed to meet the needs of Singapore’s ageing population.

Kampung Admiralty by WOHA saw off competition from 31 other shorlisted projects to win the title of World Building of the Year 2018. 

The practice, known for it's plant-covered architecture, was selected from 32 category winners, encompassing completed and future projects ranging from houses to hotels and offices. 

BIG, 3XN and Alison Brooks Architects were among the award-winning practices at this year's World Architecture Festival.

The architecture festival took place in Amsterdam 28-30 November 2018 alongside Inside World Festival of Interiors festival. 

A programme of talks and events took place at Beurs van Berlage, a former stock exchange.
