The purity and the elegance of the Monochrome Collections

The new Gewiss product series offers perfect harmony between plates and buttons. The neutral colours fit in perfectly with any type of environment: from classic to innovative spaces.

Monochrome has been one of the fundamental topics of Twentieth-century art: a subject tackled transversally by many authors and pictorial currents, with a great variety of visions and intentions. Monochrome means the renunciation of the image and the search for a "degree zero" of painting. Masters such as Kazimir Malevic, Yves Klein and Mario Schifano have dealt with this topic, making pure use of colour as a radical stance and a break with tradition.

In contemporary architecture, monochrome is an increasingly widespread and popular trend, in which unitary colour becomes an element that determines cleanliness, essentiality and a certain elegance for the architectural envelope or interior. It is no coincidence that the Phaidon publisher is releasing a series of books entitled Architecture in Monochrome

To follow this attitude, every detail of the project must be designed to achieve the "zero degree" of space. With the Monochrome Collections, Gewiss embraces this contemporary design trend. The new range, which is part of the civilian Chorus series, is characterised by the perfect harmony between plates and buttons, and the clean lines that give the products a timeless elegance.

The Monochrome Collections consist of 5 types of colours, available in 2 finishes, to be combined with 4 styles. In this way, every type of environment can find the right plate to complete it.

The available shades are: Satin White, perfect for Total White environments that make minimalism their stylistic hallmark; Natural Beige Satin, which goes well with natural materials, with a tactile and warm atmosphere; Satin Black, the most suitable solution for dark, seductive and sophisticated spaces that combine mystery and elegance; Glossy White, which adds to the freedom offered by white the brightness and reflections of the glossy finish; Glossy Titanium, an original and futuristic solution, in which the choice of metal is linked to the theme of the digital evolution of our homes.

The Chorus series, to which the Monochrome Collections belong, is based on a very wide range of modular devices, with over 80 combinations of colours, materials, finishes and shapes, always using the same support. Technology, elegance and performance adapt to every need and taste.
