Iris Ceramica returns to its origins with Bottega d'Arte, a project of high-end wall tiles made of red paste, in which an ancient know-how is recovered and renewed with contemporary technologies and processes.
The encounter between innovation and tradition, between industrial technologies and artisan knowledge, between future and past, is the ingredient that best defines Made in Italy design: it is necessary to face today's challenges, the environmental one above all, without forgetting the rich cultural and material heritage rooted in the territories.
Recovering ancient know-how, combined with the use of a strictly traditional natural material such as red clay, enhancing the identity and the territory in which the company was born and grew up: these are the cornerstones through which Bottega d'Arte of Iris Ceramica rediscovers the origins of the company.

Central in this sense is the use of the term "workshop," which indicates the activity of those who exercise a trade, creative at the same time, but which is also synonymous with an artistic school, a place where knowledge is transmitted and renewed each time. With Bottega d'Arte, Iris Ceramica rediscovers the value of craftsmanship and recovers the ways of working red clay in the area by applying its industrial capacity to a manufacturing dimension that adds the value of "handmade" to the material.
Bottega d'Arte's proposal is presented in the 15x15 cm mono-size, the classic small format that has been a distinctive style element of the past, an evocation of ceramic tradition enhanced by a new creative stimulus. It is then developed in five finishes, five different proposals to narrate the recovery of red clay processing methods: TerreLustrate, TerreLucide, TerreCotte, TerreCotte Oro and TerreLucide Oro.
The light and delicate natural surface brings out the opacity of the colors and enhances the hues with satin qualities. The glossy, reflective surface welcomes light and creates a soft, shiny effect, accentuating the intense color declinations. The glazed surface is rich in iridescent mother-of-pearl reflections that illuminate the material and make the color tones shiny and vivid.

You can discover the artistic and artisanal soul of Bottega d'Arte inside the Rossana Orlandi Gallery in Milan. The terracottas are exhibited together with other similar projects and products in the context of the group exhibition RoCOLLECTIBLE 2023. Iris Ceramica presents an installation that plays with light and shadow, colors, reflections, shapes and figures. On the one hand, solid colors in both strong and soft hues, on the other hand, geometric patterns that actualize iconic textures designed in the 1970s, once again drawing on craftsmanship know-how as well as the history and visual identity of the Brand.
