In French, it means 'hug': Câlin is a handle, but also a symbolic gesture of warmth and care. Designed by Alessandro Corina for Mandelli1953, it is now in the running for the ADI Compasso d’Oro, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of industrial design.
Beyond its function and aesthetic value, Câlin is an object rich in symbolic meaning: inclusive, protective, and designed to convey empathy. Its removable rubber cap, available in a range of colors, not only softens impacts but also adds a layer of personalization, making each handle unique through endless color combinations.

Câlin was born from the encounter between Alessandro Corina and Mandelli1953, a historic company that has been producing brass handles for over seventy years. What began almost by chance quickly evolved into a full-fledged project, driven by Corina’s design sensitivity and the brand’s vision—resulting in a product with strong aesthetic and narrative impact.
