In recent years we have especially rediscovered spaces or areas dedicated to wellness and personal care in the home: rooms in which we can isolate ourselves, meditate, relax... Although the salle de bain is traditionally the room for hygiene, we also entrust its square metres with the ability to pamper our minds and bodies. If it is appropriate to rethink the domestic bathroom as a room that is not just a room of passage, and fully inserted among the daily environments to be lived calmly and carefree, then each of its parts must be rethought, innovated, coordinated.

We can find this attitude in the work of Vaselli, a company that has always dedicated great attention to bathroom furniture. Its products, in fact, aim to create elegant environments where design is combined with a precise idea of comfort and relaxation: from a simple service room, the bathroom is transformed into a space dedicated to well-being and personal care.

Among the collections created for the bathroom area is Fidia, presented during the Milan Design Week and designed by architect Nicola Gallizia. The central feature of the washbasin – the core element of the collection – is the way it is conceived. The components of the washbasin are carved from a single thickness and then assembled in such a way as to create a piece that is to all intents and purposes solid wood.

This type of design makes it possible to achieve visual and aesthetic continuity with the rest of the collection, reduce the material used and achieve the same thickness. This construction detail becomes an element that aesthetically connotes the collection. In the case of the Fidia washbasins, the natural chromatic and material variability of the stone ensures that the end result gives the furnishing accessories a unique value.
