The encounter between the sun and the sea, or between the foam of the waves and the sand, or between the sky and the earth. Evocative colour combinations are a fundamental characteristic of Lady Galala, a new hanging lamp designed by Peluffo&Partners for Martinelli Luce, an Italian company with a great deal of manufacturing experience – with over 70 years of history behind it – that produces lamps with an essential but original design.

The body of the lamp is formed by the juxtaposition of conical diffusers of different shapes, sizes and shades. The playful juxtaposition of these elements allows the creation of different configurations. The shape and finish of the conical parts also determine the type of light emitted by the lamp, which can be direct or diffused. The body for indoor use is made of aluminium, painted matt black, and can be combined with the bi-satin methacrylate diffusers available in 3 sizes and 4 colours; the body for outdoor use is made of resin, painted white and can also be combined with the coloured diffusers.

Lady Galala is a perfect product to give colour and liveliness to a garden or an outdoor environment, but also, for example, to the hall of a hotel or a commercial space: you can play with the combination of different lamps, generating potentially infinite spatial compositions.

Peluffo&Partners recounts the inspiration and genesis of the lamp produced by Martinelli Luce: "Lady Galala was born during a meeting under a tent in the mountainous desert of Sokhna, in Egypt. It is imagined just moved by the wind, in a dream of colours and joy, mounted and hung more or less casually, for an evening of shisha, tea or Turkish coffee. In the various montages, it takes on the face of the Orient, the Middle East, Africa, the Mediterranean and finally our own home. A madeleine of light and lightness".
