The Italian territory is incredibly rich and dense of excellence: from fashion to design, from gastronomy to automotive, from science to applied arts. This knowledge, which starts from afar and is renewed in every period, constitutes what we call Made in Italy, which makes the Belpaese so loved all over the world. There are projects in which apparently distant sectors meet to share visions and knowledge. From these new connections the potential of Italy's cultural and industrial heritage is best expressed.

This is the case of Florim, which has collaborated with Rubelli, the historic Venetian fabric brand, to create a special collection of ceramic surfaces. The two companies have worked on a project that is capable of synthesising tradition and innovation: the "I filati" series by Rex – Florim brand synonymous with luxury and elegance – brings together the group's advanced production technologies and Rubelli's centuries-old tradition in the art of silk. Ceramics seem to hybridize the fabric, offering a sensorial experience that involves both sight and touch.

For the collection "I filati di Rex", the decorative motifs and shades found in traditional fabrics are transposed on large format ceramic surfaces (120x280cm, 120x240cm and 60x120cm, with a thickness of only 6mm).

The designs are inspired by the world of art and the natural world: they range from classic damasks (such as San Marco, for over 100 years in Rubelli's collections) to floral motifs (where classic elements are interpreted with a new spirit) to geometric decorative motifs (suitable for those looking for a more sober decoration).
