With the new Dama collection, architect and designer Anita Brotto is experimenting with the properties of Dualite, an innovative material patented by Artelinea that combines two backlit glasses: a special technology of vacuum bonding with a special sealant between the sheets allows to have a unique and modular product.
The collection brings together the new functionalities of glass with the vintage style of design. Thanks to the creativity of the glassmakers, the material is not only used as an ornamental element but becomes a real structure.
Personality, elegance and versatility are the characteristics of the washbasin units with sliding door designed by Brotto for Artelinea. "The rationality of the design of the monobloc is reduced both by the internal modularity of the drawers and open compartments, which can be positioned freely within the space, and by the possibility of combining different colours, thanks to Dualite," says the company.
Mirrors, shelves, columns, magazine racks and various accessories complete the collection, with the possibility of combining with the vast choice of colours and finishes of the furniture.
The new series is the result of the unique approach of the Florentine company, which focuses on continuous technical and production innovation: "even before designing a product, we focus on the study of materials: this is the key to understanding the collaborations with the Department of Chemistry of the University of Florence, with the School of Glass of Murano, Venice, and with many researchers, as well as our continuous investment in technology."
