Asus unveils a laptop with 2 screens

The ZenBook Pro Duo features a dual 4K display setup aimed at gamers and creative professionals.

Last week, at Taipei’s Computex, Asus unveiled the ZenBook Pro Duo, a new laptop that sports an innovative dual-screen setup.
Along with the main display, a big 15,6-inch OLED 4K display, Asus’ designers were able to fit a second 32:9 IPS panel just below the hinge, while pushing the keyboard flush to the lower edge and moving the trackpad to the right corner of the laptop’s body. The design results in extended screen real estate that can be used in many different ways. Creative professionals, for example, can turn the second screen into a dashboard for function keys while cutting videos, mixing music or editing photos; writers can have more space for their notes; business people can fire up a second Excel file, or an episode of Game Of Thrones while working on a last-minute financial report. The dual-display is also great for gamers, who can use it to host a Discord chat during a multiplayer session, or for a quick access to an array of customized controls during a Twitch livestream.
The specs of the ZenBook Pro Duo are pretty impressive: it features an Intel Core i7 9-th gen processor (with Core i9 as an option), a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with 6GB of RAM, up to 32GB of RAM and 4 TB of SSD storage.
The new laptop will ship during Q3 2019, but so far Asus hasn’t shared any detail about its price. Just don’t expect it to be cheap.
