Honda’s new EV prototype is almost production ready

The new Honda e Prototype, unveiled this week at the Geneva Motor Show, is a step closer to becoming a commercial vehicle.

Back in 2017 Honda unveiled the Urban EV, a cute retro-looking concept for an electric urban vehicle. As we now know, that was a forerunner for this year’s concept, the Honda e. The Japanese carmaker unveiled its latest EV prototype this at the Geneva Motor Show. Outside it retains the Urban’s gorgeous retro look, with softer edges, round headlights and a compact size. The futuristic interior mixes dark grey ABS and cherry wood veneer, adding to the general old-meets-new feeling of the car. Honda hasn’t shared many details about the car so far. All we know is that it’s gonna have a range of approximately 200km and a battery that can be fast-charged to 80% capacity in 30 minutes. The car is expected to go into production later this year, with the first models hitting European markets at the beginning of 2020.
