The right body temperature, along with a pitch dark room and good air quality, is very important to get a good night’s sleep. Smart Thermostats like the Nest are helpful, sure, but a bed that can assess your body temperature and read home-data about the environment around it is even better. That’s exactly what The Pod does. Developed by the startup EightSleep, this smart bed can cool down or warm up thanks to a water based system controlled by The Hub, a bedside computer that acts as the brain of the futuristic sleeping cocoon, and a host of sensors spread around the bed’s surface.
The Pod comes in two versions: full bed ($1995) or queen (2195). It can be preordered now and the company will start shipping it at the end of April.
