Nowadays, the designer's activity involves much more than the design and production of a service or a product, but it implies the activities of promotion and marketing as well, plus as the aptitude to keep a constant dialogue with different actors and the handling of market rules which are often unconventional.
From this point of view, the aim of the master course is to train professionals with specific competences able to have an active role proposing new aesthetic visions and cultural values.
The Master course lasts 12 months and it is held in English.
The competition is open to all people who have acquired a studying or working experience in the Design field and who are interested in attending the Master in Design in Domus Academy.
Candidates must send their curriculum vitae and portfolio of projects via e-mail to infodesign@domusacademy.it specifying "DOMUS ACADEMY—DOMUS WEB" by no later than August 5th, 2011.
Domus Academy was founded in Milan in 1982 as the first post-graduate design school in Italy, and as an open project focusing on the Italian Design and Fashion experience. Throughout the years, Domus Academy also asserted its importance as a school, in the full meaning of the term: a place for post-graduate education and research lab investigating innovation and design topics. In December 2009 Domus Academy joined the Laureate International Universities Network, an international high-level education network for art and design. The Academy offers 11 masters courses: Master in Accessories Design, Master in Business Design, Master in Car Design, Master in Design, Masters in Fashion Design, Master in Interaction Design, Master in Interior & Living Design, Master in Urban Vision & Architectural Design, Master in Fashion Management, Master in Fashion Styling&Visual Merchandising, Masters in Service and Experience Design.
