Vestaboard is a connected wall-mounted dashboard that can show personal messages or notifications on an old-school split-flap display, like the clacking boards that were commonplace in many train stations.
The board is comprised of 132 character units that can show either a letter, a number, a special character, or a color. When a new message or a notification is sent to the board, the character units flap in sync, creating a visual and auditory experience for the user.

Vestaboard is the quintessential design product, with refinements that trickle down to the finer details. The font used on the board has been carefully crafted to be readable from a distance, and each character unit is modular and built to last, its mechanism dutifully patented.
Vestaboard is also expensive and clearly aimed at an affluent audience of fine design products purveyors. It has commanded a good follow in the last year, with 3000 units shipped and VIP customers such as Jennifer Garner and Neil Patrick Harris.
