Therefore, the store design requirement was to convey the spirit of the brand, but also reflect the characteristics of China’s local, to avoid the way in which other brands describe themselves with a “foreign brand” image.
To reflect the Chinese “flavour” of the brand, Towo design translated the basic elements of the Chinese garden into the interior design: pavilions, verandah, rockery stripped of its concrete form, leaving the white structure of the framework integrated with the shop’s functional needs.
The facade is realised starting from the concept of the lantern, with the perforated plate corresponding to the translucent features: from afar the whole shop door and two large windows look like three large lanterns standing on the road. From the outside the facade, white in daytime, stands out in the night with its lantern effect making the shop well visibile and different from the others. Customers can buy desserts and climb the “rockery” sitting on the platform side; or through the “bridge” climb the “corridor” and seat in the pavilion; watching the shadows shaking on the edge of the figure. So the small space of the café can offer different experiences.
