With the Transart Festival, South Tyrol turns into an experimental playground where to explore different languages of the contemporary art scene. This year’s edition focuses on nature as a resource to be preserved, the need for spirituality, the encounter without prejudices between cultures and the development of new formats where art, music, performance interact with each other.

The destinations include picturesque alpine landscapes, small castles by the lake, artist’s ateliers, museums, forests and gathering places. Among this year’s Transart participants we find John Luther Adams, Roman Signer, Chris Watson, Mashrou’ Leila e Omar Souleyman, Tomoko Mukaiyama e Spellbound Contemporary Ballet, Rose Breuss, Jagoda Szmytka, PHACE ensemble, Claudio Rocchetti, Alberto Boccardi, Sadi, Gea Brown and Tomoko Sauvage.
Some of the new proposals for this edition will host Luciano Chessa’s Dinner Cena Oltranzista at the Monticolo Castle, a Sleep Concert to accompany the rhythms of sleep and wakefulness, the rediscovery of the traditional Korean Gagok singing, artistic walks and a lot of sound experimentation.
