Thonet everywhere

From outdoor to lighting: at imm cologne Thonet will explore new spaces, providing solutions for the interior and the garden, and illuminates them with a new lamp collection.

In Cologne Thonet brings the new Thonet All Seasons outdoor collection, which comprises selected tubular steel classics from the Bauhaus era with a new look and allweather finish, but also the  solid wood table 1060 designed by Jorre van Ast the new lamp collection.

Table 1060 by Jorre van Ast is a dynamic example of the synthesis of bentwood heritage with a contemporary, graphic formal language. The individual elements of the base frame are made of solid bentwood and reference the brand’s tradition of shaping wood into furniture. A rectangular tabletop with a light-as-air look features rounded corners and rests on a pair of table legs that divide into a reversed V. A slender wooden traverse with curving returns connects the table legs in a sophisticated form. The warmth of wood as a material and the organically flowing lines of the table make it a gathering place whether at home or at the centre of a conferencing facilities.

The lamp collection comprises Kuula, a compact, minimalist table lamp designed by Uli Budde, which with its spherical glass head is reminiscent of traditional northern European window sill lamps as much as of the formal language of the Bauhaus era – and the while impressing with cutting-edge technology. The Linon pendant luminaire designed by Andrea Scholz stands out due to its generous, circular, sustainably produced linen lampshade, which is available in two motifs.
